Virtual New Musical Resources is a project that I started to create free algorithmic software for Pure Data and Max/MSP that is based upon Henry Cowell’s treatise, New Musical Resources.
Currently there are two different packages that culminate into two types of Rhythmicon models: one that outputs digital audio for Pure Data, and another that outputs MIDI for Max/MSP. Each of these models functions with sub-patches that are based upon concepts from Cowell’s treatise. Documentation is included with each package.
